Hickory Dickory

A few things we've heard Gabriella say recently:

1)
G: What's that Mommy?
M: That's a clock.
G: (Pause....) Where's the mouse?

2)
G: (Holding a Q-tip to her ear) Look Mommy, Gabby has a blue toot!

3)
This one occurred this past week in Las Vegas.

G: (Holding the hotel room phone to her ear.) Hi Man. Bring beer. Bring Pizza. Uh-huh, yeah, uh-huh. Bring pizza and beer. Bye.

First Ferry Ride

Gabriella went on her first ferry ride (and my first ferry ride since my honeymoon!)

It was fairly typical, involving snacks, checking out the scenery, and a cell phone call.





She loved it-- and Grandma gave her a little toy ferry boat at the end. It was a good day...

Visiting an old friend...

I visited a friend from high school today. It was a pleasant visit, filled with conversation and laughter. Here's a little snippet of how the morning progressed.

Mom's talking to someone besides me? Someone has a toy that I want?

NO SHARING!! GABBY NO SHARING!!!! MINE!!!

Ethan wants one of the little people? THAT'S MINE TOO!!!

Seattle, Part II

New BFF, Hadley. (Notice that she is actually sharing her "green blanket." Not something you'll see regularly...) Is it that obvious that they're watching television? Is it the blank stare?

Seattle, Part I

Gabriella is having a good time in Seattle. She is missing Stew and doesn't hesitate to remind me of this on a daily basis.

While we've been here, we had the opportunity to visit some good friends. One of them happens to be a fire fighter -- to Gabriella's delight. You can't tell by this picture, but she was enamoured with the entire fire station....

She spent some quality time with Oma at the Aquarium...
